Q1. What type of girls clothes can I send?
A. Please send gently used, new or almost new formal wear Indian attire. We accept salwaar kameez, suits, churidar sets, lehengas, ghagra cholis, pant suits, kurtis, half sarees, and pattu pavadai etc., that are in good condition.

Q2. What type of boys clothing are you collecting?
A. Please send us gently used, new or almost new formal Indian boys wear. We are collecting kurta pajamas, shervanis, and half kurtas etc. that are in good condition.

Q3. Can I send clothes that are torn or ripped?
A. Please do not send any ripped, torn or soiled clothing as these are going to be directly delivered to the children. We would like them to feel special and happy receiving the beautiful Indian clothing donations you are sending.

Q4. How do I send these clothes to Desi Clothes for INDIA?
A. When you are ready to mail us the clothes, contact us and we will send you the delivery address.

Q5. Will I have to pay for postage to India?
A. No! You are only responsible for the cost of mailing to Desi Clothes for INDIA. After that Desi Clothes for INDIA will send it to the orphanage in India at no cost to you.

Q5. Can I donate sarees and adult sized clothing?
A. While we would love to collect and send sarees and adult sized Indian clothing donations to India, at this time, Desi Clothes for INDIA is NOT accepting sarees or adult sized clothing donations. As soon as we are able to do so, we will update the website.
